It has been a pleasure building this boat for you and on behalf of the entire team at Seawind Catamarans, we wish you many years of fun-filled enjoyment aboard your new Seawind 1600.
Your boat is coming closer to completion. We’ll send out the last production update with a walkthrough video before the boat leaves the factory.
For now, we have done most of the major jobs. Some ongoing tasks are installing entertainment units, deck gear, anchor system finalizing, and rigging painting. Testing and QA job have been carried out well.
Your boat is doing well in the final days of fit out 2.
Exterior: We have done with longeron and fwd beam. Cockpit roof is also completed. We are 90% done with deck gear installation, anchor system, helm area, and steering.
Interior: We are done with flooring, navigation station and plumbing. Currently, we are focusing on galley, settee, cabins and saloon area.
Engineering: We are testing the engine and equipment on the boat.
Exterior: Targa roof had recently been installed together with saloon side windows. We will also install Flexiteek, Lewmar winches, steering tillers, BBQ and solar panels as next steps.
Interior: Currently we are putting the sprayed furniture back in. Antifoul preparation is done, as well as plumbing, electric is done by 90%. We are also starting to work on flooring within next week.
Engineering: Engines and fuel systems are completed.
Exterior: the daggerboard system is now 100% done. Deck gear, anchor system, longoron and fwd beam works are going well with 80% completed. The installation of cockpit roof is more than half way done. Work is being carried out on the installation of windows and hatches.
Interior: works are being carried out on all cabins – port fwd cabin 85% done, both port and std cabins are more than half way done. Work is now started on the port midship bathroom and in the std main bathroom, the washing machine is now installed. Navigation station is 70% completed and the layout for kitchen cabinet has been put down.
Engineering: engine and fuel system are almost 80% completed.
Exterior: helm stations have been pre-fitted and coated with primer. Hull detailing has now been completed. Works are done with chain plates detailing, inboard bow section.
Interior: works have been completed for the installation of fwd fresh water pump, holding tank, and the moldings of escape hatches. Starboard head detailing, hot & cold plumbing, and window liners are 90% done. The preparation of window installation is half way ready. Other jobs including bed base and settee back have been started.
Engineering: water maker mounts, battery box, muffler mounts are all installed.
The boat is now in her Assembly stage and progressing steadily as scheduled.
Exterior: detailing of cockpit and cutting of access to life raft have now been completed. Works are ongoing for the through holes and detailing of starboard hull.
Interior: there has been quite a milestone achieved with the fitting of bed base cleats, starboard cabin bead base, electrical panels, bulkheads, speaker boxes, holding tanks 100% done. Window liners and bulkheads are more than half way of installation. Kitchen layout is being prepared for the next fitout stage.
Engineer: all tanks have been installed including holding tanks, fuel tanks, and water tanks. Water maker supports are now put in placed. Stanchions installation is 75% completed. More work to be done on the detailing of port and starboard heads.
Hulls & decks have been joined, the hull center line joined has been faired and glassed. Most fiberglass deck hatches have been pre-fitted and are ready for flowcoat finishing on the underside. She is now looking like a real boat! There is still a lot to do but this stage is a significant milestone as we work toward the assembly and fitout stages.
